Q:  What does a normal day look like for my loved one in your program?

A:  DDMS pays close attention to what your loved one wants and we teach them the skills to achieve it, which is why various activities are available for all individuals throughout the day. For example, an individual may be participating in a cooking class during the morning, and attending choir practice in the afternoon. It all depends on what your loved one wants to achieve. We just help them achieve it!

Q: What is a REP Payee?

A: REP Payee stands for “Representative Payee” which is the person in charge of the disbursement of funds.

Q:  Who will become the REP Payee?

A: DDMS will become the REP Payee.

Q:  Can I remain the REP Payee for my loved one?

A: Yes, but given past experiences, this option is discouraged. At DDMS we are passionate about making sure your loved one’s assets do not go over $2000.

Q: Who pays for this service?

A: Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security

Q: Is my loved one able to come back home to visit?

A: Yes, your loved one can go home to visit. They can also sleep away from the facility/group home for 24 days every 4 months.

Q: What is the structure or format of a co-ed facility/group home?

A: A co-ed facility/group home has 24-hour staff to ensure your loved one’s needs are met. Male and Female residents do not share bedrooms or bathrooms.

Q: What medical care does DDMS provide for my loved one?

A: Each DDMS agency has a medical director that will oversee the medical needs of your loved one. We ensure all individuals attend annual doctor appointments, and as needed, by scheduling and taking them to their appointments. We understand the importance of communication, so we work closely with families to make sure they are updated.

Q: How can I start the process of  having my loved one placed in one of your homes?

A: To get started you first have to submit a “Contact Us” form which you can find on our website (https://ddmsllc.com/contact-us/). After submitting your “Contact Us” form our corporate case manager will get in contact with you within 24-hours to further discuss your form.

Q:  How long does it take for someone to get in contact with me after I submit an online request?

A: After the submission of the online form through the DDMS website (https://ddmsllc.com/ ). The corporate case manager will get in contact with you within 24-hours to further discuss your form.

Q:  What if my loved one is admitted into one of your facilities/group homes, and they decide they do not like it?

A: If your loved one is not content with their placement, we will be more than glad to find another matching placement within our various facilities/group homes.

Q:  Will I be able to tour the facility/group home they will be living in?

A: Yes, you will be able to schedule a tour to see the facilities/group homes.

Q:  Can my loved one take some of their personal belongings to the facility/group home?

A: Yes, your loved one can bring their personal items.

Q:  How often can I contact my loved one?

A: As often as you would like.
