Teach. Coach. Mentor.
We all enjoy accomplishing and succeeding. Our individuals being served are no different. They get big smiles when they learn a new skill. Ongoing mastery is vital to reach full potential and build self-esteem. Through the years, we’ve developed our own plan for ensuring this happens routinely in our homes.
For short, we call it TCM (Teach, Coach, Mentor). It begins with a positive can-do attitude from staff, helping the individual build on the skills he or she already does well.
We assist individuals with making decisions about what they’ll master next, and we encourage every effort—one small step at a time. Before you know it, they’ve reached a new milestone.

MENTOR ME

TCM has 4 principles everyone must follow.
1. Everyone can be successful.
2. Everyone can learn and teaching requires positive repetition.
3. Learning must be related and connected to acquiring a new skill in the future.
4. Every person has a future expectation.
With TCM, we see individuals move forward faster than ever expected. Sometimes guardians are downright flabbergasted. And that, of course, makes everybody smile.
